Training and Capacity Building

MG-FARM places strong emphasis on training and knowledge transfer to ensure lasting impact. Farmers, engineers, students, and local institutions were trained to operate and maintain smart renewable microgrids and digital monitoring tools. 

Through workshops and on-site demonstrations in Algeria and Morocco, participants gained hands-on experience in energy management, irrigation control, and data collection. The project also supported PhD and master’s research, fostering a new generation of experts in renewable energy and smart farming across Europe and North Africa.
